About Our Client

Our client, a leading manufacturer and key supplier of ready-to-eat (RTE) products and sauces, are looking for a Customer Technical Manager to provide seamless technical support for their customer base. Supplying major UK retailers and top UK manufacturers, they need a proactive leader to manage technical relationships with customers, ensure compliance, and uphold high-quality standards.

This role involves acting as the first point of contact for retailers, overseeing a dedicated team, and ensuring technical requirements-such as audits, specifications, and product quality-are met efficiently. The ideal candidate will be experienced in food manufacturing, customer liaison, and technical compliance, with a strong retailers experience.

Job Description

  • Build strong customer relationships, ensuring technical requirements are met efficiently.
  • Lead and support the technical information team, assisting with audits, specifications, and customer queries.
  • Act as the key technical contact for customer visits, audits, and meetings, ensuring commitments are fulfilled.
  • Manage customer feedback systems, overseeing audits, compliance, and complaint resolution.
  • Collaborate with NPD, commercial, and operations to develop safe, legal, and innovative products.
  • Ensure robust safety and quality systems for microbiological monitoring and compliance.
  • Oversee team management and succession planning, while contributing to crisis management.
  • This role is onsite.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Technical Manager should have:

  • A degree in Food preferred
  • HACCP Level 3/4
  • BRC experience
  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Well versed with auditing (whether that be suppliers or internally)
  • Customer Management experience
