We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join a well-established organisation in the industrial and manufacturing sector. Based in Leeds, this permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality engineering projects in a professional environment.
  • The salary for this role is £32k - £36k.
  • The shift pattern is Monday - Friday, mornings (6am - 2pm).

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools and dies to meet production requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate tool production.
  • Operate a variety of workshop equipment, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders.
  • Conduct tool testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tooling designs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards throughout the toolmaking process.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance and modifications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Toolmaker should have:

  • Proven experience in toolmaking within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in operating workshop machinery and equipment.
  • A meticulous approach to work, ensuring high levels of precision and quality.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in an engineering setting.
