Job Description

  • Coordinate transportation tasks, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between drivers and clients, managing communication effectively.
  • Develop contingency plans for unforeseen changes.
  • Daily control of drivers, acting as main point of contact.
  • Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules.
  • Process vendor invoices.
  • Maintain reports and records of activities.
  • Respond to any transportation-related issues or complaints, ensuring resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving strategies where possible.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities.
  • Coordinate with the Secretarial & Business Support department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Temporary Transport Coordinator should have:

  • Relevant academic qualifications in business, logistics, or related field.
  • Proven background in a similar role within the Leisure, Travel & Tourism or Transport industry.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • A customer-focused approach, with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for record keeping and scheduling.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Ability to commute to Manchester.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS.
