About Our Client

Our client is a c. £60 million turnover business with national presence. You will be based from its head office in Grantham, and will be working as part of a friendly, supportive and well established finance team of c. 8.

Job Description

You will be reporting into the Financial Controller, and will be solely responsible for the company's credit control function. You will have the opportunity to put your stamp on the function and drive best practice. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Assessing credit worthiness of new and existing customers
  • Setting and reviewing customers' credit limits
  • Chasing customers via telephone and email regarding outstanding invoices
  • Handling customers' invoice queries
  • Liaising with the sales and customer service teams regarding customers' invoice queries
  • Preparing monthly debtor reports, credit risk assessments and collections forecasts, and presenting these to senior management every month
  • Posting of cash
  • Driving process improvements across the credit control function
  • Updating credit control policies where appropriate

The Successful Applicant

  • have a proven track record of working in credit control
  • have the confidence to work in a standalone credit control position
  • have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • live within a commutable distance to Grantham
