We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Procurement Coordinator to join our FMCG team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in administration, with strong attention to detail and be an effective communicator. This is a permanent role based in Peterborough with hybrid working.

About Our Client

Our client is a well known organisation in the FMCG industry. Known for their production of high-quality consumer goods, they have a strong reputation within the market. This company is based in Peterborough and has a substantial workforce dedicated to maintaining their high standards. Due to internal progression, they are currently recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator on a permanent basis. This would be ideal as an entry level role into Procurement for someone with a background within Administration, or alternatively an opportunity for someone to progress their career within Procurement. There will also be some office management duties as part of the role.

Job Description

  • Coordinate procurement processes and manage supply chain activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Arranging team days
  • Coordinating team meetings internally and externally
  • Diary management
  • Manage small portfolio of suppliers
  • Tracking trends on OTIFs
  • General procurement administration
  • Implement new or improved procurement processes.
  • Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Coordinator should have:

  • Proven experience in Administration, or procurement and supply chain management in the FMCG sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software programs (JDE preferred but not essential).
