National Account Manager - Foodservice Distributors.

Job Description

The National Account Manager - Foodservice Distributors will:

  • To develop & execute a business plan that is in line with my client's corporate plan and delivers growth in the markets and customers identified on the area.
  • To further develop my client's relationships with existing customers and end users and identify other key large users and develop relationships and business plans accordingly.
  • To communicate weekly with the Head of Sales, reporting on customer, competitor and current activity.
  • To set an action plan each month, listing customer visits, and f2f or video meetings.
  • To work closely with the internal Sales Executive looking after the National Accounts. To set priorities, KPI's and ensure initiatives are set and implemented
  • Liaise with Head of Sales to inform him of market developments and opportunities that exist for product development. Work to bring these to fruition.
  • Agree with line on a pricing strategy for the customers on the area and all new customers.
  • To support customers as appropriate, attending trade fairs, organising show room displays, carrying out training, marketing and advertising
  • Achieve the agreed commercial targets and standard gross profit margins.

The Successful Applicant

The National Account Manager - Foodservice Distributors will come with the following skills and experiences:

  • track record in account management and business development in the packaging and / or foodservice arena having previously or currently managed the likes of Brakes, Bidfood, Elior etc.
  • successful track record of hitting key commercial KPIs and objectives with an existing customer base and also driving and developing new customers as well as increased distribution
  • self-starter, strong presenter and organiser
  • full mobile national for customer meetings with a track record of developing relationships
  • highly motivated, passionate and dedicated professional who enjoys working with autonomy and leading the customer conversations from the front



Flexible on location across England, clean license and someone used to being out an about with customers is the key.

What's on Offer

£55,000 - £65,000 base salary, depending on experience, £8k Car Allowance, 15% annual bonus, plus benefits
