This role as a National Account Manager (NAM) in the Consumer Goods Industry focuses on managing Wholesale Accounts to achieve business growth and sales targets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing relationships and driving profitability within the wholesale segment.

Job Description

Ø Delivery of supplier objectives through first class JBPs

Ø Thorough customer understanding (e.g. KPIs, contacts, retail portfolio/ formats, shopper profile, corporate & category strategy, pricing & promo strategy, category size, competitive set, competitive USPs, supply chain structure etc.)

Ø Full Ownership of Customer strategy

Ø Collaborative volume & value forecasting

Ø Total account business modeling - Long term strategic modeling of all supplier investment, building customer plans with constant analysis of ROI.

Ø Implementation and tracking of customer budgeted investment, effectively processing invoices and claims.

Ø Rebates / accruals set-up

Ø Influence Range & distribution

Ø EPOS data tracking and analysis

Ø Competitor intelligence

Ø Produce effective reports to be distributed both internally / externally.

Ensure all activities relating to medicines and medical devices are in accordance with Good Distribution Practice of medicinal products.

The Successful Applicant

A successful National Account Manager should have:

  • Previous experience in account management, preferably within the retail or wholesale sectors.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills to drive business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
  • Proficiency in using sales and reporting tools to track performance effectively.
  • A results-focused mindset with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry and an understanding of wholesale operations.
  • A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
