Job Description

  • Planning and managing merchandise to maximise company profitability.
  • Ensuring product availability across all sales channels.
  • Collaborating with the buying team to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance.
  • Regularly reviewing performance indicators, like sales and discount levels.
  • Managing and maintaining stock levels to ensure continuous availability.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating costs.
  • Tracking market trends and performing competitor analysis.
  • Preparing reports and sales forecasts for senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Merchandiser should have:

  • Proven experience in retail merchandising and fashion in particular.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen in the world of fashion,
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a strong analytical ability.
  • Proficiency in using merchandising software and tools.
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
