Job Description

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of products.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to production processes.
  • Monitor production performance and suggest improvements to achieve operational goals.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment and technologies into the manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, including process instructions and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all manufacturing activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes and equipment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • A strong background in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Project Management Skills/ experience
  • Experience of lean manufacturing processes (Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
  • Experience of AutoCAD
  • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector, particularly within a production environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
