Job Description

  • Develop and manage the maintenance schedule to ensure minimal downtime in operations.
  • Recruit and oversee the maintenance team, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and improve equipment reliability and performance in line with operational goals.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and optimise production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Analyse maintenance data to recommend improvements and implement preventative measures.
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Maintenance Manager should have:

  • A strong background in engineering or a related field within the industrial sector ideally within heavy engineering.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and processes.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
