A public sector organisation in Wales is seeking a skilled and driven Interim Procurement Manager to join its Procurement function. This is a unique opportunity to support the delivery of significant infrastructure and construction projects across Wales, with a particular focus on contracts under the NEC4/NEC4 suite.

Job Description



Key responsibilities for the Interim Procurement Manager:

  • Lead the procurement of construction and infrastructure contracts using NEC3/NEC4 (ECC, PSC, TSC).
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans and category strategies.
  • Draft and manage tender documentation in accordance with PCR 2015 or Utilities Contracts Regulations.
  • Support early contractor involvement and advise internal stakeholders on procurement and contracting options.
  • Contribute to commercial risk management and deliver procurement solutions that support project delivery.
  • Collaborate with commercial, legal, and project delivery teams to ensure robust contract implementation.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:

  • Strong background in construction procurement and contract management.
  • Proven experience in NEC3/NEC4 contract forms (Essential).
  • In-depth understanding of public sector procurement regulations and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • CIPS qualification or equivalent professional experience.
