Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsWorking for a well known packaging manufacturing brandExcellent opportunity to join a business with huge growth plansAbout Our ClientThis leading organisation in the UK's corrugated packaging and display sector collaborates with top brands, employs advanced technologies, and utilises smart materials to produce high-performance, high-definition corrugated products that consistently exceed industry standards in every measurable aspect.Job DescriptionReporting to the Deputy Despatch Team Manager, the main responsibilities of the role are to:Supervise the shift team, always complying with the health and safety procedures.Drive the team to ensure KPIs are achieved.Distribute manning where needed for the peaks and troughs of production.Ensure product is taken off the lines and loading and offloading of trailers if following quality, appearance, and hygiene standards.Perform checks to ensure product pallet numbers are correct against order.Always maintain and promote hygiene and good housekeeping standards in the finished goods and despatch areas.Strap, stretch wrap and restack product.Shred obsolete stock, as necessary.Undertake sheet board duties when requested.Support running through break times and ensure continuation of despatch operations.Contribute towards the departments continuous improvements and project work.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidates must have either a valid or previously held a fork-lift truck licence, can follow procedures, be proactive, problem solve and work on their own initiative, have a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy, and are numerate.You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, guide and coach a team as well as being able to lead by example and develop your people management skills.You will have the ability to learn new techniques to convert into best practice, with the energy and enthusiasm to drive the overall business goals for your team. You will also be willing to learn to use Microsoft office.What's on OfferSalary on £33340 per annum.Current shift pattern is the 3-shift rota, over 5 days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week which includes a paid half an hour lunch break.
