Job Description

  • The work is primarily non-contentious and the focus is on advisory work, contracts and strategic advice to clients seeking to comply with data protection, privacy, AI and cyber requirements.
  • Supporting clients on on global privacy projects.
  • Providing legal advice on data protection and cyber security matters
  • Assisting in the development of data protection policies and procedures
  • Reviewing and advising on data protection impact assessments
  • Supporting clients in the event of data breaches or cyber security incidents
  • Advising on the legal aspects of cyber security risk management
  • Collaborating with the wider legal team on complex matters
  • Keeping up to date with legislative changes affecting data protection and cyber security

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data and Cyber Associate should have:

  • A UK qualified lawyer.
  • 4-6 years of PQE in data protection or cybersecurity law.
  • Understanding the EU and UK regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience in a similar role at a top law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection and cyber security legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner
  • A proactive approach to staying informed about industry trends and legislative changes
