On Thursday 04 August, 2016, 80 employees of global recruitment specialist, PageGroup, took to the streets of London with buckets to raise awareness and money for its charity partner, Teenage Cancer Trust. The energetic fundraisers raised a whopping £2,500 in just under 3 hours. After an inspirational speech from Laura Martin, Corporate Account Manager for Teenage Cancer Trust, PageGroup employees turned heads across London dressed in their animal onesies and Teenage Cancer Trust t-shirts in a bid to raise as much money and awareness in their time away from their desk to give back.Managing the event, Lucy Ponder, Accounts Manager at Michael Page Finance, said: “For every young person Teenage Cancer Trust can help, there’s another they can’t. We are doing this to make sure that every young person with cancer receives this care.”Since May 2015, PageGroup has raised over £130,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, UK’s leading charity dedicated to supporting young people with cancer aged 13-24. The two-year partnership aims to raise £200,000 to fund 8,000 hours of vital care and support via Teenage Cancer Trust’s Expert Care Programme.Upon receiving all buckets and counting the money raised, Lucy added;“It’s fantastic that we have raised £2.5K in such little time, it really is an achievement. It was amazing to come across the many generous people of London listening to us and donating throughout the day. I’m really glad to see that so many PageGroup employees shared the same enthusiasm in raising money and awareness of young people with cancer.”For media enquiries, please contact: PageGroup Media ContactJordan Townley, PR Executive, PageGroupE: jordantownley@michaelpage.com T: (+44) 203 077 8177
