Job Description

  • Managing Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient product flow, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping/receiving.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high productivity and fostering a positive and safe work culture.
  • Staff Scheduling: Plan and manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage at all times to meet operational needs.
  • Training & Development: Onboard and train new employees while providing ongoing development opportunities to enhance skills and improve performance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, conducting safety audits and ensuring all team members are trained on proper safety procedures and protocols.
  • Process Optimisation: Work with management to identify and implement improvements in warehouse operations, driving efficiency and reducing operational costs.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Monitor warehouse performance metrics, maintain accurate records, and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with logistics, inventory management, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues quickly.



The Successful Applicant

  • Warehouse Experience: Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar leadership role, ideally within a high-volume or fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse safety.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with all levels of the organisation.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to quickly identify problems and develop effective solutions to maintain warehouse efficiency.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) and general warehouse technology is beneficial.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational requirements.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
