Job Description

  • Provide strong leadership to ensure compliance with all safe working, food safety, and operational standards.
  • Take responsibility for the shift operation, setting and surpassing targets and KPIs, and ensuring smooth shift-to-shift handover.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational targets.
  • Support the Operations Manager by providing reliable and accurate information and analysis of shift performance.
  • Develop analytical skills from data analysis to root cause analysis during accident/incident investigations.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills, motivation, and job satisfaction.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback, recognition, and constructive guidance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, ensuring that all team members are treated with respect and professionalism.
  • Identify and provide opportunities for training and development to enhance the capabilities of the team.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts within the team, promoting effective collaboration and cooperation.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Shift Manager, preferably in food distribution
  • Strong ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Previously managed teams of 20+ individuals
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety, as well as Food Safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
