An Underwriter Team Lead role is now available for an individual with a strong background in Risk, Compliance, KYC, Underwriting, or Payments. Experience within the Fintech, Payments, or Technology & Telecoms industry would be beneficial. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to lead and strengthen a dedicated underwriting team in our London office.

Job Description

  • Lead and develop the underwriting team.
  • Assess and make decisions on risk proposals.
  • Ensure adherence to risk and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve underwriting processes.
  • Provide expert advice on risk assessment and underwriting.
  • Oversee the preparation of risk and compliance reports.
  • Drive team towards meeting or exceeding company targets.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Underwriter Team Lead should have:

  • Proven leadership skills in underwriting or a similar field.
  • Sound understanding of Underwriting, KYC, or Payments.
  • Exceptional decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in preparing and presenting risk and compliance reports.
