A leading law firm is seeking a talented Associate (1-3 years' PQE) to join its Contentious Trusts and Probate team within the Private Client & Tax group.

The role involves advising on complex, high-value disputes including will challenges, breach of trust claims, and cross-border succession issues. Clients include high-net-worth individuals, trustees, and family offices, both UK-based and international.

Job Description

  • Handling a broad range of trust and estate disputes
  • Managing cases independently and supporting senior lawyers
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Engaging directly with clients and intermediaries
  • Attending mediations and court hearings
  • Contributing to business development and thought leadership

The Successful Applicant

  • 1-3 years' PQE in contentious trusts and probate
  • England & Wales qualified
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent client relationship management
  • Commercial awareness and interest in private wealth
  • STEP qualification (or working towards it) is a plus
