Job Description

The role of Transport Planner will involve:

  • Working Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm and Friday 8:30am-4pm
  • Producing an efficient transport plan to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Optimising and monitoring costs by liaising with the third party logistics supplier.
  • Monitoring vehicle movements.
  • Managing POs and dealing with any issues.
  • Keeping the system and trackers accurately updated.
  • Occasional cover of sickness/absence in customer services.
  • Managing orders on relevant customer portals.
  • Liaising with the planning team to resolve an potential issues with orders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transport Planner should have:

  • Experience in a transport planning/coordinating role (over 12 months desirable).
  • The ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems (ideally SAP and Excel).
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
