Tool Room Supervisor

Leeds Permanent £30,000 - £35,000 per year View Job Description
The Tool Room supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of existing press tools and using a range of machines including lathes, surface grinders, milling machines and CNC Lathes. The successful candidate will come from a Toolmaker/Tool room background and have some CNC Lathe / wire EDM experience.
  • Have previous experience as a Toolmaker or operating on press tools
  • Salary: Up to £35,000

A well-established manufacturing company based in the Leeds area, they are looking to add an established Toolmaker to supervise within the tool room.

Job Description

  • Bench Fitting / Manual machining and CNC Machining
  • Set and operate a range of machines.
  • Making tools from scratch as well as repairing servicing tools.
  • Support other colleagues and provide guidance where needed.
  • Complete tool reports.
  • Comply with company standards.
  • Control tool modifications.
  • Preventative maintenance, modifications and day to day servicing and repairs of production tooling.
  • Fabrication of fixtures and spare parts for tooling.
  • Methodically dismantling and assembling Press tools

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience within a Toolmaker role or similar
  • Experience with CNC Lathes desirable
  • Ability to read and intrerpret Engineering drawings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Live within a commutable distance to Leeds
