Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsMy client in Whiteley is looking for a Tax Compliance Officer.Excellent salary and benefits (hybrid & bonus) to the successful candidate.About Our ClientMy client is a high end financial services firm with their offices for this position based in Whiteley, but also with offices across Europe and the US.Job DescriptionTo work closely with our client teams, both accountants and administrators, to ensure appropriate delivery of client serviceTo undertake tax reporting services for a portfolio of alternative investment structures (SPV, Holding Companies, ManCo and Funds) under the supervision of the Tax Compliance Manager and/or upPrepare tax working papers for a portfolio of alternative investment structures to facilitate tax reportingCalculate tax liability and preparation of tax returns together with supporting documents, prior to submission for reviewComplete required tax reporting in a timely manner and update internal trackers to monitor progressPerform analytical reviews and investigate any tax jumps or variances compared to previous periodCommunicate any tax updates to relevant team membersDemonstrate a strong working knowledge of tax, progressing with more complex cases as the number of the entities and accounting standards increaseAbility to plan own workload and prioritise/manage time accordinglyWork closely with other teams (e.g. Financial Reporting Team, Administration/Client Service team) to ensure seamless and co-ordinated client service deliveryAdherence to standard policy and procedures of the CompanyMaintain files in accordance with internal policies and proceduresProvide timely and professional responses to all client and internal enquiriesIn addition to the duties listed above, the Tax Compliance Officer may be requested to perform other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the CompanyThe Successful ApplicantRelevant degree/qualification in a relevant field such as tax, accounting, finance, business, economicsExperience in a similar positionAttention to detail to ensure the delivery of consistent and high standardsAbility to plan and organise yourself to meet challenging deadlinesGood understanding of technical accounting skillsAbility to learn quickly and work within a team under the guidance of a managerStrong mathematical and analytical skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and MS outlookFluency in English, as well as other European languages, is advantageousWhat's on OfferAn excellent salary and benefits package, including bonus, healthcare and hybrid working, is available to the successful candidate.
