About Our Client

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specification Sales Director to drive market share within a building products manufacturer group.

Job Description

The role will be focused on leveraging existing brands and product offerings to develop a total portfolio offering to architects, specifiers and main contractors securing specifications at project design through to completion and being seen as the 'go to' supplier and brand of choice on specialist projects in the built environment.

We are looking for a candidate who has proven sales and commercial leadership capabilities in a high-quality environment and has experience in leading transformational change within a specification driven sales environment.

The successful candidate will be extremely customer focused with specifiers/influencers in the market to secure specifications throughout the value chain.

The success of the role will also be driven on managing effective cross functional relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to implement targeted sales strategies and approach and leading a specialist specification team across the UK.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strategic specification led sales approach with track record and experience supplying into the built environment.
  • Understanding of the RIBA stage gate process and delivery of effective CPD seminars through team.
  • Entrepreneurial new business focused approach with natural ability and drive to grow and develop specification channel.
  • Broad sales and wider commercial experience across the construction supply value chain.
  • An approach focused on delivering commercial excellence through the team and specification channel .
  • Ability to sell innovative technical solutions to customers opposed to pure singular products.
  • A structured approach to sales leadership with a background of adding value through training, mentoring, coaching and supporting their teams.
  • An open and likeable personality with easy and open communication, honesty and integrity.
