Job Description

  • Create and tailor engaging social media content, including short videos and designed assets, optimised for each platform to meet organisational goals.
  • Develop innovative content ideas and work with influencers, public figures, and key stakeholders to expand reach across multiple channels.
  • Work with content managers by contributing to content briefs and assisting with impactful storytelling during on-site visits.
  • Work with digital teams and external agencies to produce culturally sensitive, on-brand content for both organic posts and paid promotions.
  • Design templates and manage branded social media assets, ensuring consistency during campaigns and appeals.
  • Maintain strong quality control and ensure all content receives necessary internal and external approvals before publishing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner organisations, coordinating joint social media efforts and generating relevant content.
  • Monitor social media trends and platform updates, aligning organic content strategies with paid campaigns to create cohesive digital user journeys that drive engagement and conversions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced in managing organic social media, preferably in the NGO sector, with proven success in strategy and results.
  • Skilled in creating diverse social media content, including videos and digital assets.
  • Strong knowledge of engagement strategies that drive audience growth and meet organisational goals.
  • Up-to-date on social media trends and platform updates.
  • Proven track record in social media campaigns, content, and community management.
  • Experienced in advising colleagues and SLT on social media best practices.
  • Familiar with social media in humanitarian disaster response contexts.
  • Worked with influencers, public figures, and safeguarding vulnerable audiences online.
