The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial and legal management of construction projects in the Property industry, ensuring they are completed within budget. Based on site in Kent you will be required to report into Head Office in London once a week, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, advising on costs, contracts, and regulations

Job Description

  • Oversee the cost management of construction projects.
  • Self sufficient in being able to see projects through process from cradle to grave
  • Provide advice on contractual matters.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Produce detailed financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with construction regulations.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Continuously monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist with the training and development of junior staff.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience in the Property industry, specifically in Construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction regulations and contracts.
  • Excellent numerical and financial management skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools.
