Job Description

  • Lead the procurement team in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts to ensure the best value for the organisation.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures in line with public sector regulations.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs.
  • Oversee the procurement budget and ensure cost-effective spending.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards.
  • Promote sustainability and ethical practices within the procurement activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Procurement Lead Officer should have:

  • An educational background in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a procurement role within the public sector.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A thorough understanding of procurement processes and public sector regulations.
  • The ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.
