Job Description

Senior Packaging Operator responsibilities:

  • Ensuring adherence to all safety regulations within the packaging unit.
  • Conducting regular quality checks to ensure packaging standards are met.
  • Understand potential risks in packaging and mitigation against these risks.
  • Facilitating timely maintenance and repairs of packaging machinery.
  • Analyse the performance of the packaging lines and suggest ways in which the efficiency of packaging can be improved.
  • Work with the Packaging lead and Head of Production to make operational improvements, to update SOPs and train the team as appropriate.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Managing inventory of packaging supplies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Packaging Operator should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • A strong understanding of packaging processes and machinery.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
