Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the governance and control framework in finance and accounting is strong.
  • Processing key accounting transactions and other complex funding structures, including related hedge accounting.
  • Producing financial statements that will be audited and published externally, ensuring they are materially accurate and free from error.
  • Taking a lead in understanding and documenting key accounting judgements and estimates, which underpin the external financial reporting.
  • Preparing quarterly financial information for bond reporting /banks / investors
  • Acting as key contact for the business and finance units to provide a level of oversight, expertise and advice on accounting and reporting matters.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Recent experience of either preparing financial statements or auditing financial statements
  • Experience within the business/Trade and services industry desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
