Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making within the organisation.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and submit necessary filings.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the accounting team.
  • Develop and implement process improvements within the finance function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equiv).
  • SOX experience
  • Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis within the accounting and finance field.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
