Job Description

  • Lead the development and support of the organization's data infrastructure.
  • Design and deliver a data management capability enabling data mining and reporting.
  • Integrate proprietary data sources into the data warehouse.
  • Own data workflows and associated metadata.
  • Drive the implementation from on-premises to full Azure SQL.
  • Create and maintain protocols and guidelines for managing external data sources.
  • Implement controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Deliver documentation supporting infrastructure and processes.
  • Manage Data Management and Governance across Azure Dataverse.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve data issues.
  • Liaise with external data providers on structure, supply, quality, and frequency of data delivery.
  • Support application developers with data structuring queries.
  • Monitor and evaluate tools and technologies.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for this Senior Data Engineer role will possess the following:

Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience in data engineering and development.
  • Extensive experience in database design (both relational and dimensional).
  • Proven track record with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Microsoft Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience in managing both structured and unstructured data.



Skills:

  • Strong expertise in data management and governance.
  • Proficiency in user requirements elicitation.
  • Ability to integrate proprietary data sources into a data warehouse.
  • Skilled in implementing controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Competence in investigating, analyzing, and resolving data issues.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics365, PowerBI, API development (including GraphQL), Azure Data Lake, and Data Bricks is a plus.
