Job Description

As a Senior Chartered Surveyor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working with senior management on strategic property matters.
  • Responsible for red book valuations across a varied, principally commercial portfolio.
  • General Practice work to include: estate management such as, landlord and tenant interaction and negotiation, new lettings, surrenders, dilapidation's, rent reviews, lease renewals and re-gearing.
  • Other potential areas of work include way leave and easement negotiations, portfolio rationalisation and, asset valuation, including Local Authority Asset Valuations.

The Successful Applicant

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as a General Practice Surveyor, in either the public or private sector.
  • Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant Real Estate discipline.
  • Ideally have RICS Registered Valuer status.
  • Sound knowledge of valuation methodology and property valuation techniques.
  • Experience of working within or with local authorities, and/or large public sector organisations.
  • Experience of coaching and supervising others within professional organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and negotiate with both internal and external parties at all levels.
  • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a large multi-disciplinary team.



A full UK Driving Licence to accommodate the travel requirements of the role.
