The role will be based in the North West, or other sites nationally. This role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, and shown deliver across a Global organisation.

Job Description

As the Senior Category Manager you will,

  • Design and implement a category strategy with the support of a team
  • As part of the strategy, review the incumbent supply base (relationships & performance) to ensure key metrics are aligned
  • Conduct market analysis to gain industry knowledge and leverage negotiation strategies.
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks related to supply contracts and agreements.
  • Oversee a team of procurement professionals, encouraging their development and success.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure business goals are met.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Category Manager should have:

  • Proven track record within a similar role at a Global level, ideally with large spend portfolios (£100M+)
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage team performance effectively (building engagement and capability)
  • Knowledge of key supply markets, ideally Castings, Machining, or Electronics
  • Able to effectively communicate, positively influencing stakeholders, and landing benefits into the operating sites
