Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsMy client in Whiteley is looking for a Senior Accountant.Excellent salary and benefits (hybrid & bonus) to the successful candidate.About Our ClientMy client is a specialist financial services business with this role based at their Whiteley (Southampton) site and with 5 offices in Europe and 8 in the US.Job DescriptionSupport the management team to deliver a first-class professional service to clients, both internal and externalPreparation and review of management account packsPreparation and review of financial statements for a wide range of client structures to UK GAAP, U.S. GAAP, Lux GAAP and/or IFRS accounting standardsManage the client & investor reporting cycles for a portfolio of clientsManage the timely and accurate production of VAT returnsSupervise and assist with managing the workflow of, and delegation of tasks to, junior team membersPlan and prioritise your own and team workflowAssist with the ongoing review & development of procedures and controlsAssist the management team with the appraisal process for direct reports, if applicableSupport the management team with the client billing processLiaise with the clients' auditors to ensure a seamless audit processLiaise with external contacts to obtain and provide required information, as necessaryAttend client meetings in respect of accounting matters, as requiredAssist the management team in analysing clients' key performance indicatorsAssist with, and contribute to, ad hoc projects, as requiredThe Successful ApplicantThe right candidate will most likely be ither making their frst move out of chartered accounatancy or already working in industry, looking to move into a role where they can further their career.Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA / ACA)Experience of preparing and reviewing management account packs, including consolidationsExperience of preparing financial statementsGood understanding of industry practices, regulations and legislationExcellent time management skills and ability to work under pressureAbility and desire to form strong working relationships with clients & colleaguesPassionate about continuous improvement / learning and a desire to help with the development and coaching of junior colleaguesWhat's on OfferAn excellent salary and benefits package is available to the successful candidate, alongside a generous package that includes bonus and hybrid working.
