Job Description

  • Oversee the preparation and management of financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage the organisation's budget and provide strategic financial planning.
  • Supervise and support the accounting team in daily operations.
  • VAT knowledge
  • Analyse financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Monitor cash flow and forecast future financial trends.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful School Finance Manager should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
  • Previous experience within a school is essential (independent school is ideal)
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders

  • Competitive daily rate of approximately £285 to £350, depending on experience.
  • Role will be around 6 weeks long!
  • The role will be 5 days a week on site, west London location.
