Job Description

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with the overall goals of the business.
  • Analyse energy market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to drive growth.
  • Spot opportunities to introduce new energy products, tariffs, and services that meet customer needs.
  • Work alongside category managers to ensure a competitive and customer-focused product mix, including green energy, fixed tariffs, and flexible pricing options.
  • Create and manage pricing strategies that ensure they are competitive while driving profitability.
  • Work closely with store managers, sales teams, and customer service teams to ensure they are delivering the best energy products and experiences.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics like sales volume, customer acquisition, and churn rates.
  • Use data to drive decision-making and refine commercial strategies for optimal results.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Manager should have:

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Energy Management, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Experience in retail energy, utilities, or consumer goods, with a minimum of two years in a commercial or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in pricing strategies, sales performance management, and product portfolio optimisation.
  • Strong understanding of energy market regulations, consumer trends, and competitor landscapes.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and market forecasting.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A driving licence and are used to driving to different retail stores throughout the UK
