Sustainability is at the heart of their mission, and they consistently strive for excellence in their field.Job DescriptionTo provide leadership, co-ordination, governance, and the sharing of best environmental management practice to the Energy business regions to achieve best in class performance, and to drive material year on year performance improvement. Ensuring compliance with site environmental permits or licences as well as specific working plans, including general administration and auditing. Develop and maintain constructive relationships with relevant environmental regulators like SEPA. Support the business in the event of environmental incidents, including fulfilling a role as part of the company's emergency response team, providing technical advice and guidance to identify root cause and practical actions to prevent reoccurrence. Ensuring site is fully prepared for all internal and external audits relating to ISO, environmental and compliance aspects.Collaborate with other team members to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions and strategies.Keep up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives.The Successful ApplicantA successful Regional Environmental Manager should have:A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years experience in power generation, energy from waste or waste sector.
