Job Description

  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Handle general administrative tasks, including sorting mail and scheduling appointments.
  • Provide accurate information to visitors and callers regarding services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient communication flow.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies for the reception area.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as required by the secretarial and business support team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Receptionist should have:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role, ideally within the public sector.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and telephone systems.
  • A professional and friendly demeanour with a focus on customer service.
  • The ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
