Purchasing Manager

Your duties as the Purchasing Manager include:

• Develop, motivate and performance manage a Purchasing team of 7 on a day to day basis
• Act as a Continuous Improvement champion, seeking out ways to make improvements to the bottom line
• Deliver improvements in cost and service levels from indirect suppliers to Safran UK business units.
• Create and maintain a culture of internal customer service.
• Develop strategies for Indirect spend, ensuring full alignment with the needs of UK businesses.
• Manage strategic and Operational negotiations and where appropriate negotiate directly with suppliers.
• Support Buyers and Commodity Managers as required in key negotiations.
• Strategic development of indirect spends
• Purchasing budgets
• Project management
• Execute robust processes and procedures
• Develop and mentor existing team
