The company prides itself on its professional and friendly working environment.Job DescriptionAre you a Risk Professional looking for your next challenge?I'm currently working exclusively with an organisation with offices in Newport and Swindon who are looking to hire a Programme Risk Officer to develop and enhance the Risk strategy across the organisation.The role is office based 1 day a week and can the successful candidate can work from either office.This role will have direct line of sight into the Executive Leaders across the organisation and will play a pivotal role in shaping the Risk Management function.Key responsibilities, will include but are not limited to:· Support members of the Executive Team, Head of RISC and the Risk and Assurance Manager in delivering the Change programme through good risk management.· To support the Risk and Assurance Manager to promote and embed best practice in managing risks and the impacts· Take ownership of the Change Progremme Risk Register reviews and ensuring that all risks and controls are identified, consistently assessed and have effective ownership.· Create regular management information and report on risk management to both the Risk and Assurance Manager and the Change Programme· Build strong working relationships with key internal customers and external customers.· Act as a specialist and provide guidance on risk and controls.· Working closely with other teams across the wider RISC (Risk, Information and Security Compliance) teams and the wider business, sharinginformation on risks, controls, and issues.The Successful ApplicantA successful Programme Risk Officer should have:Degree qualified in relevant subject or demonstrated equivalent experienceProfessional qualifications or professional accreditation within the field of Risk Management (for example from the Institute of Risk Management)Proven experience work as a Risk Specialist, working in project delivery environment ideally in the public sector or a highly regulated environmentExperience of working in and managing risks across complex projects or programmes.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build and lead multi-disciplinary teams and strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholdersFirst class written and oral communication skillsWhat's on OfferA competitive salary between £41,380 and £52,197 per Annum.28 days Annual leave.A defined benefits pension paying 26% annually.
