Job Description

  • Develop and refine production processes, work instructions, and tooling specifications
  • Drive long-term improvement strategies to enhance productivity and quality
  • Support smooth introduction of new products from design into manufacturing
  • Utilise Creo to update and optimise technical drawings, 3D models, and assemblies
  • Manage design changes and product data using Windchill PLM systems
  • Coach operators and technicians on best practices, new procedures, and equipment use
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and design tools to improve workplace safety and efficiency
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise workflow and reduce waste
  • Lead investigations into production issues using structured root cause analysis methods
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and drive cost reductions

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Engineer should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using engineering and manufacturing software tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • An understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in Creo 3D CAD software
  • Experience with Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and design for manufacture (DFM)
  • Demonstrated success in delivering process improvements and cost reductions
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and influence operators and technicians
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of ergonomics and practical application in manufacturing environments



Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and production documentation
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience in coffee machine or similar consumer appliance sector
