Job Description

Lead and manage procurement activities within the IT and FM categories, ensuring that all contracts and purchases align with the department's operational needs and strategic objectives.
Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement strategies, contract management, and supplier performance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of procurement requirements.
Manage tender processes, including developing specifications, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring value for money and compliance with contract terms.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
Collaborate with other procurement professionals to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and outcomes.
Contribute to budget planning and cost-saving initiatives within the IT and FM areas.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Advisor should have:

Proven experience in procurement, ideally with a focus on IT or Facilities Management categories.
Strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations and best practices.
Experience in managing the full procurement cycle, from specification development to contract management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
A relevant procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
