The company is committed to innovation and maintaining the highest standards of safety and sustainability in its operationsJob DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and provide expert technical support in process safety areas e.g. ATEX/DSEAR risk assessment,hazardous area classification, safe handling of combustible dusts, control of electrostatic hazards.Support the execution of process risk assessments and hazard analysis exercises, which underpin the delivery of a safe design (including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA).Advise and steer on application of local rules, international standards, and best practices to promote inherently safe design.Support process engineering teams to develop Basis of Safety for key process areas.Review specifications, design, and supply of equipment to ensure compliance with safety, permitting, and company procedures.Support the implementation & management of company engineering/design standards.Support compliance activities including COMAH and other applicable consents.Contribute to the development and continual improvement of process safety management system.Interpret and communicate complex requirements to the wider team to ensure understanding and buy-in.Coach others to champion a culture of process safety excellence across our global business.The Successful ApplicantA successful Process Safety Engineer should have:Bachelor degree in related engineering subject (e.g. Chemical Engineering).Proven process safety experience in a high-hazard or COMAH regulated environment.Strong level of knowledge of process safety legislation, codes of practices and standards (e.g. DSEAR, pressure relief).Solid understanding and experience of hazard study methodologies.Understanding and experience of QRA techniques and analysis e.g. consequence modelling, OBRA.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, trouble-shooting, root cause analysis with a strong attention to detail.Self-motivated, organised and reliable team player.A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of the role and project environment.What's on Offer£45,000 to £65,000 DOE5% pension matched contribution.Permanent position offering job stability and career growth.Opportunity to work in a reputable company within the energy & natural resources sector.Collaborative and professional work environment in Coventry.If this role aligns with your expertise and career aspirations, we encourage you to apply today!ContactLewis LawlorQuote job refJN-062025-6756439Phone number+441212309422Job summaryJob functionEngineering & ManufacturingSubsectorHealth, Safety & EnvironmentSectorEnergy & Natural ResourcesLocationEnglandContract typePermanentConsultant nameLewis LawlorConsultant phone+441212309422Job referenceJN-062025-6756439
