This role will give you significant exposure to client interaction and you will have full autonomy of a portfolio which has approx AUM 5bn for you to manage. You will ensure that the portfolio aligns with the clients risk appetite whilst adhering to investment policies.

Job Description

A key part of your role will be to ensure that all investments align with the clients risk appetite and ultimately protect the value of the investment portfolio, and where possible minimise any potential losses.

While the role isn't heavy on financial modelling, there is a need to have some experience of credit and credit risk, in particular for doing the analytical work, and writing concise and clear reports and then presenting to clients.

You will present reports in writing aswell as in person which will be a clear and concise evaluations of their investments - you will carry out regular and detailed credit valuations.

As part of portfolio monitoring you will stay informed about market trends and market analysis, and ensure that you proactively update the client on any material changes.

You will maintain and prepare reports relating to various watch-lists that monitor trends and the development of their portfolios transactions

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for this role, you should ideally have a finance, economics or related university degree and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a portfolio management role, or structured finance or leveraged finance.

While the portfolio is primarily UK investments, they do have some French exposure, so having French as a language skill would be advantageous. They would be open to other European languages, but French is the preference.

You should be confident in your communication skills given this role has a high level of client interactions both in person and by regular detailed reporting.

Have strong analytical and technical skills, and be comfortable understanding complex credit risk profiles

Have experience of writing concise credit reports, which reference transaction intel, financing structures and sharing an overview of the portfolios investment models
