Job Description

My FMCG manufacturing client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning and Inventory Manager to support operations at their site nr Bury St Edmunds.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced role, consistently striving to optimise customer experience by achieving exceptional product availability.

  • Achieving a product availability target of 99.5%
  • Issuing a weekly production plan and daily schedule for site
  • Owning the site's weekly exception and adherence reporting to support plan execution
  • Supporting the maintenance of BOMs
  • Driving issues to resolution within the week or period (addressing exceptions to the S&OP plan)
  • Managing silos and silo differentials
  • Tracking and analysing key site measures, and challenging performance based on these KPIs
  • Providing clear and concise information to the site leadership team to drive action and improvement
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders and collaborating with supporting functions, e.g., procurement, finance, and customer service


  • Leading the capacity review process, including: r un rate sign-off, available hours and labour, and gaining commitment to forward volumes



The Successful Applicant

Experience & Skills

  • Experienced in production and material planning, inventory management and replenishment - gained within a complex FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the S&OP process

What's on Offer

The successful candidate for this Planning and Inventory Manager will be offered up to £60,000 plus package.

This role offers hybrid working - c. 2-3 days pw on-site.
