Job Description

The Personal Injury Claims Handler will be:​

  • Managing a portfolio of defendant public liability claims from inception to resolution​
  • Assessing liability and quantum, and formulating appropriate strategies for claim resolution​
  • Liaising with claimants, solicitors, and other stakeholders to negotiate settlements​
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies​
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation throughout the claims process​
  • Providing advice and guidance to internal departments on claims-related matters​
  • Identifying trends and potential risk exposures to inform risk management strategies​
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims handling process

The Successful Applicant

The Personal Injury Claims Handler should be:​

  • An experienced claims handler with a minimum of 2 years' experience in managing personal injury claims (not motor claims)​​
  • Experience in property damage claims however full training will be provided
  • Proficient in assessing liability and quantum, with strong negotiation skills​
  • Familiar with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices​
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills​
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively​
  • IT literate, with experience using claims management systems and Microsoft Office
