As a People Partner, you'll play a key role within the People Directorate, working closely with People Business Partners to manage complex employee relations cases and support organisational change initiatives. You'll also contribute to people-focused projects, policy development, and workforce planning, while championing inclusive practices and employee well-being. Job Description



  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters including grievance, disciplinary, sickness absence, and performance cases.


  • Work closely with employment lawyers and internal stakeholders to ensure pragmatic, legally compliant outcomes.


  • Support managers with workforce planning, recruitment, and job evaluations.


  • Collaborate with Learning & Talent Development colleagues to identify training needs and develop learning solutions.


  • Contribute to HR policy design, review, and consultation processes.


  • Coach, mentor, and advise managers and junior HR colleagues.


  • Promote employee well-being and signpost relevant support services.


  • Ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality HR record keeping.



The Successful Applicant

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification.


  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.


  • Experience advising and coaching managers on ER issues and organisational change.


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.


  • Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.


  • Experience in a public, not-for-profit, or similar sector is desirable.
