People Manager

The People Manager role is key to developing and implementing a great employee experience to the team based in the UK. You'll own our employee lifecycle and payroll processes, support with wider and more generalist activities within the function, while partnering with our UK leaders and People team to support the delivery of a progressive people strategy.

About Our Client

The employer mid sized property business that operates on a global basis. Based near Moorgate they are centrally located.

Job Description

1.Own and provide an efficient, progressive and streamlined people operations service to the business.

2. Manage all People data, benefits and payroll processes, ensuring they are fit for purpose, accurate and efficient.

3. Own provider relationships, identifying and implementing improvements E.G our payroll and benefits providers.

4. Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, compliance, onboarding, performance management, development, family friendly leave and exit arrangements, ensuring a positive employee experience is delivered throughout.

5. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and ensure a smooth hiring process. This includes job posting, candidate screening, interview coordination and offer negotiation.

6. Continually develop our onboarding and induction programmes to ensure new hires feel welcomed, informed, ready to contribute and set up for success.

7. Provide first line support and advice on employee relations activities.

8. Manage off-boarding and leavers processes to ensure a respectful and smooth transition for employees leaving the business.

9. Keep up to date with and implement relevant changes to employment legislation as well as global best practices.

10. Lead on the collation and analysis of HR and people data, producing relevant reports to identify trends for the People team and wider business.

The Successful Applicant

A successful People Manager should have:

  • Have worked in similar People Manager or Business Partner position
  • Have experience in end to end employee life cycle
  • Have worked with data - slicing and dicing and producing data on all areas of people functions for board packs (eg. retention, headcount etc)
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience in leading HR projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced London-based environment.
