This organisation is a well-established organisation in the industrial/manufacturing sector.Our client is looking for someone to join them as soon as possible as a Payroll Officer and are paying up to £30,000.

This is a office based role.

Job Description

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees.
  • Use of Sage / Sage Payroll to process the payroll.
  • Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with regulations.
  • Handle employee queries related to payroll and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Calculate statutory deductions such as tax and National Insurance contributions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and company policies.
  • Assist with audits and provide payroll data when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Experience in payroll processing within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Experience using Sage Payroll.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and MS Excel.
  • A strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and stakeholders.
