Job Description

  • Payroll Processing: Accurately prepare and process monthly payroll for employees, including salary calculations, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Compliance & Taxation: Ensure payroll complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system, ensuring the accuracy of salary details, leave balances, and deductions.
  • Overtime and Deductions: Thoroughly check monthly overtime and staff lunch deductions.
  • Reporting: Submit the payroll reporting pack to the payroll provider on time and meticulously review pre-pay reports, including salary summaries, tax deductions, and other relevant metrics for management and audit purposes.
  • Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, addressing any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Benefits Administration: Coordinate with the School Business Manager and HR Officer to manage deductions for pensions and other employee benefits.
  • Audits: Assist with internal and external audits by providing payroll records and relevant documentation.
  • Systems Management: Support payroll system updates, improvements, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information at all times.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate must be immediate avaliable or on a short notice period of maximum a week. Previous experience within payroll administration / officer roles.

Previous experience using the system 'ITalent'.

Past exposure to working within schools

Currently in possesion of an enhanced DBS is an additional bonus.

What's on Offer

Hybrid working: Four days in office, one working from home.
