The business are a market leader within their sector and continue to grow year on year.Job DescriptionAs the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be tasked with the following;An active involvement in health and safety activities to ensure hazards are identified and eliminated; and highest standards achievedCreate, modify and review risk assessments and standard operating procedures in accordance with Group Policy, legislation and industry best practiceDiagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns to restore equipment; by review of drawings/documentation, repair and/or redesign, in order to avoid or minimise production downtime and lossesCarry out preventative maintenance of plant, services, distribution and alarm systems to avoid downtime/lossesComplete electrical works up to 415V that may include live workingEnsure reporting processes are followed (verbal/written) relating to maintenance activity, processing of engineering spare parts and storage recordsContribute to a range of continuous improvement activities, including maximising performance of plant, equipment and control systems; driving housekeeping standards (5S), reducing energy consumption and environmental impactsSupervision of trainee/s and contractorsIndividual and team-based problem solvingProject co-ordination and administration of maintenance systems/drawingsThe Successful ApplicantA successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer should have:HNC/HND and/or equivalent NVQ in ideally Electrical Engineering, or alternatively Mechanical EngineeringAbility to work flexibly within engineering/manufacturing teams across all areas of plant to achieve set standards/targets and continuous improvementStringent adherence with safe operating proceduresAbility to work unsupervised for extended period and capable of identifying, generating and managing own workloadEffective communication with all members of the department and other areas, in particular, production.Willing to be flexible in order to respond to changes in priority or emergency situations and available to work on an "on call" basis during one week in every four weeksWhat's on OfferA competitive salary of £48,254An excellent Pension PackageMonday to Friday - Days roleA chance to work in a thriving industry in St. Helens.An opportunity to grow and develop your skills within a supportive team environment.A positive and professional culture with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to join our team as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
