Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Develop and design mechanical systems and components to meet project specifications.
  • Create detailed technical drawings and documentation using Autocad and Inventor software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with project goals.
  • Conduct performance analysis and testing of mechanical systems to ensure functionality and quality.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process.
  • Identify and implement improvements to optimise designs and reduce production costs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to source materials and manage project timelines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed technical drawings.
  • Experience in designing mechanical systems within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to design challenges.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with teams and stakeholders.
